Special Needs Personal Care

Personal Care Services includes Personal Supports and Personal Care Assistance. These are interchangeable services, with the difference in designation defined only by payor source. Agency for Person with Disabilities (APD) waiver program reference this service as Personal Supports while Medicaid and Private payors designate the service type as Personal Care Assistance. Regardless of designation, Cicily Cares’ Personal Care Services address a range of needs for clients with Autism and /or other special needs.

Personal Supports/Personal Care Assistance provides assistance and training in activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing, personal hygiene, eating and meal preparation. Other care activities under this service type may include light housekeeping, socialization activities as well as assistance for clients to access community based events and services that promote inclusion and improvement in wellbeing.

Cicily Cares employs a team of competent Care Partners that work with special needs individuals and their families to deliver innovative care defined by his/her personalized Support Plan.  Under the Personal Care Services umbrella, clients will receive a combination of in-home support, community companion support and hands on personal assistance.
